Young the Giant will be embarking on a massive tour this summer, one for which fans of alt and indie rock will be rushing to buy tickets. The tour – which will be supported by another indie rock act in German pair Milky Chance – will see the Irvine, CA-based quintet playing over 40 gigs from May through August.
The tour begins in Canada at the Place Bell in Montreal on May 30. It swings down the East Coast – hitting venues like The Rooftop at Pier 17 (two nights) in New York, Stage AE in Pittsburgh, and the Yuengling Center in Tampa on July 21. The tour then sweeps across the Southern states – 713 Music Hall in Houston and the Arizona Financial Theatre in Phoenix being among the venues – before finishing with dates on the West Coast at the FivePoint Amphitheater in Irvine on August 19 and at the Cal Coast Credit Union Open Air Theatre the following night.

Along with Milky Chance – who will be at every date – other bands will join for select gigs. The two announced so far are TALK and Rosa Linn, but expect more information (and more artists) to join Young the Giant in their local regions.
The tour is in support of Yong the Giant’s first release in four years last fall. American Bollywood was highly anticipated – and highly successful on the alt-rock scene – while the single “The Walk Home” is currently a staple on Alternative Radio stations. Their fifth album has been called their most ambitious project to date, as it amps up the artistic and experimental elements while still sticking to the band’s core sound. Check out Young the Giant on tour later this summer.
