FC Cincinnati was only formed in 2015, but the club has packed a lot of growth into the last seven years. Originally a USL franchise for two years, the FC Cincinnati ownership group was awarded an MLS franchise in 2018. The club jumped immediately, starting play at the top level of US soccer in 2019.
That means that FC Cincinnati has a home schedule loaded with recognizable names in 2023. Upcoming clashes worth securing tickets for include against the in-state rival Columbus Crew on Saturday, May 20, Nashville SC in a battle of two of the newer MLS teams on Saturday, July 15, and Sporting Kansas City in the Leagues Cup on Sunday, July 23.
Here is the biggest question for FC Cincinnati based on their start to the 2023 season.

Can FC Cincinnati continue its hot start?
Seven games into the season, there is no Eastern Conference side that is better than FC Cincinnati. The Orange and Blue have started the season on fire, winning five and drawing two of their opening seven contests. They are the only team in either conference without a defeat on their record, and they are putting themselves in a great early position for a playoff spot.
The only worry here is that the team doesn’t score enough goals. They have just nine through seven games, meaning their defense must be on point weekly. It has been exactly that so far – they have conceded just four times all season – but with New England (12 goals), Atlanta (14 goals), and Columbus (17 goals) all scoring at a greater pace, it might be hard to hold onto that No. 1 spot through the summer.
