It is the beginning of a new era in Green Bay now that Aaron Rodgers has left the Packers to quarterback the New York Jets. In many NFL cities, the moving on of a franchise quarterback would mean low ticket sales and fan interest. There will be no such slump in Green Bay – where the Packers are both the only team in town and bucket list viewing.
Tickets to the season opener at Lambeau Field on Sunday, September 24, against the New Orleans Saints are selling for over $200 on Immortal Seats at the time of writing. Tickets for Packers games are almost impossible to get for under $150, with matchups against the NFC North favorite Detroit Lions and the reigning Super Bowl Champions Kansas City Chiefs spiking to more than $200 for the cheapest ticket at the iconic venue.

Is Jodran Love the guy?
Jordan Love, welcome to your two-year trial.
Replacing Rodgers is going to be an insanely difficult task. In 18 years with the franchise, Rodgers passed for almost 60,000 yards, had 475 touchdowns to 105 interceptions, was named NFL MVP four times, and led the team to the Super Bowl XLV title as game MVP. Love comes into 2023 as a fourth-year guy with one game started (2021), three touchdowns to three interceptions, and a reputation as being overdrafted compared to his college production out of Utah State in 2020.
The contract h is on gives Love two years to prove his worth to the franchise. He will need help this season – Christian Watson staying healthy for the duration would help – on both the offensive and defensive side of the ball. The defense has the tools to be special, but the production hasn’t quite been at the level that the number of first-round draft picks on show would suggest. In a weaker division, this team could either mount a playoff run or fall flat with a disaster of a season.
