CM Punk cannot seem to stay out of trouble. After receiving a lengthy suspension from AEW over a backstage fight with members of The Elite last year, Punk has once again found himself involved in a dispute at an AEW Pay Per View. The company should be riding high after putting on an 80,000+ people sellout at Wembley Stadium in London – the biggest ever crowd for a wrestling event – but instead, news that Punk and Jack Perry had been involved in a backstage incident is dominating the headlines.
The bust-up between the two talents could hardly come at a worse time. AEW had just one week before All In in London and All Out in Chicago, with Punk scheduled to appear at the United Center on Saturday, September 2, in front of his hometown fans. Instead, he and rising star Perry seem to be set to miss the show as both have been slapped with ‘indefinite suspensions’ by the company. Those who want tickets to a show that looks to be headlined by the blood feud of Kenny Omega vs. Konosuke Takeshita should jump over to Immortal Seatts and get tickets now. The cheap seats in the 300 and even some 200-level seats at the United Center are selling for just $50, an absolute bargain given the quality of wrestling that will be on the show, even without Chick Magne Punk on the card.

The Omega/Takeshita bout is not the only one that promises to be a barnstormer. The triple-threat for the AEW Intercontinental Championship features the always entertaining Orange Cassidy defending against two violent humans in Jon Moxley and Penta El Zero Miiedo. Add in an opener that will have Luchasaurs defend against Darby Allin, and that is three matches well worth the price of admission alone.
