The biggest and best game in Week 9 of the 2023 NFL season – on American soil at least – is the late Sunday afternoon clash that sees the 5-2 Dallas Cowboys visit the 7-1 Philadelphia Eagles at Lincoln Financial Field. This is a huge game not just in the NFC East but also in the entire NFC as the Eagles look to distance themselves from the Detroit Lions at the top of the pile, and the Cowboys know that they will be right in the conversation for the top seed with a win here.

A weird tidbit for this one is that this will only be Dak Prescott’s second game in Philly with anything on the line. A strange run of injuries at the wrong times and games that didn’t have playoff implications involved means that though this is Dak’s eighth trip to The City of Brotherly Love, only the 2018 game against the Eagles was one where he played with any real stakes. The Eagles are 7-1, but this isn’t the same machine that was dominating teams last season. The line play isn’t quite as good, the secondary has been so-so (watch for Ceedee Lamb this weekend), and the running game isn’t as consistent. The ingredients are in place for this to be an entertaining one.
