John Smoltz had a glittering MLB career. The right-handed pitcher played for 21 seasons in the league, all but one with the Atlanta Braves. Smoltz, Greg Maddux, and Tom Glavine were the most feared pitching trio in baseball, with the three starters making the Braves a constant championship threat during the 1990s. Smoltz was an eight-time MLB All-Star, he twice led the NL in both wins and strikeouts, and was a World Series Champion with the Braves in 1995. Smoltz was elected to the MLB Hall of Fame in 2015, his first year on the ballot.
