The team with the best record in the American League will begin its playoff journey on Saturday when the Baltimore Orioles host the Texas Rangers in the first game of the ALDS. The Rangers – winners of 90 games – shocked the 99-game-winning Tampa Bay Rays in the Wildcard Round – and they have the firepower and pitching to cause the Orioles a problem over the course of this five-game series.
Playoff expectations are high in Baltimore, and the ticket prices for postseason play matches. Tickets for Game 1 on Saturday, October 7, and Game 2 on Sunday, October 8, are both sitting in the $150 range for Standing Room Only viewing. If it goes to Game 5, then tickets for that one are over $200 already (and will rise). Tickets are cheaper in Texas by about 25%. Game 3 tickets are sitting in the $120 range – and you even get a seat in the Outfield Pavillion – while Game 4 tickets are around the same price.
