Bill Maher may be best known for his HBO show “Real Time with Bill Maher,” but he is also an excellent standup comic who is well worth seeing when he is on tour. Maher has a list of dates out for 2023 – and like all comedians, he adds extra dates sporadically – so be sure to keep an eye on his upcoming shows to see when he will be visiting a city near you.
One city that does see plenty of Maher is Las Vegas. He has a standing gig at the David Copperfield Theater at the MGM Grand, where he will be performing Friday and Saturday shows in random months throughout the year. Other announced dates include a Saturday and Sunday in the Pacific Northwest at the Paramount Theater in Seattle on Saturday, April 1, and at Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall in Portland on Sunday, April 2, along with similar two-night stops in Pennsylvania, the Carolinas, and Texas.

Maher has been on our TV screens since way back in 1993. He first rose to fame with his “Politically Incorrect” show on Comedy Central, a late-night talk show where he showed his comedic chops will digging into important stories. If you have seen either of his famous shows, you will know what to expect from Maher. He is the type of comedian that wouldn’t get traction today, a guy who wears his political incorrectness with a smile, and that is all the funnier for being part of a (sadly) dying breed of comedy.
If comedy, where nothing is off limits, is your thing, you must take in a live show from Maher. His TV shows press the very edge of what is allowed on our screens, so you can probably imagine what topics he touches on – and eviscerates – when there are no cameras, and he is allowed to freelance. The great thing about a comedian like Maher is that every show is different. News moves faster than ever in the 2020s, so topics change from month to month in his work to keep it fresh. Check out Bill Maher in a city near you as soon as possible.
