Billy Idol clearly loves North America. The original punk icon only just finished his last set of shows on the continent, and he has already announced a return later this year. This will be a quick hitter, with Idol playing dates from late August through the middle of September. The tour length means Idol is maximizing his shows by focusing on certain regions.
The first is the Pacific Northwest, with shows in Vancouver, Spokane, Boner (Montana), and two gigs in Colorado, the last being the Jazz Aspen Snowmass Festival on September 3. He will then go to the Northeast, hitting Boston, Brooklyn, Washington D.C., and Camden (New Jersey.) After a break of around a month, Idot will be back for a five-night residency at The Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas beginning on October 20.

Idol just seems like a good time, and he is still an artist looking to break new ground even this late in his career. His concerts typically include a mix of his legendary hits – songs like ‘Rebel Yell,’ ‘White Wedding,’ and ‘Mony Mony,’ along with more recent songs. The tour that Idol just finished included the first-ever concert at the iconic Hoover Dam, and it is somehow fitting that this particular bleached blonde Englishman was the first artist to play a gig at the structure.
