Bret Michaels is one of those artists who always seems down for a good time. Anyone lucky enough to have caught the stadium tour last summer that saw Michaels fronting Poison as they played with Joan Jett, Motley Crue, and Def Leppard would have seen the energy that Michaels still gives off when he is on stage. That is why it should come as no surprise that Michaels announced another set of tour dates for this summer.
Michales has a few gigs before the summer – such as the Oaklawn Even Center at Hot Springs National Park, AR, on Saturday, March 25, and a show with Billy Idol at The Cameo Theater in Bristol, VT, on Saturday, April 20 – but the “Parti Gras” Tour begins in earnest on Thursday, July 13at Pine Knob Music Theatre in Clarkston, MI. Michaels then performs for a little under a month, with shows at venues like the Xfinity Center in Mansfield, MA, Rouff Music Center in Noblesville, IN, and a final date (for now) at the PNC Music Pavilion in Charlotte, NC, on Sunday, August 6.
Check out a full list of dates and venues at the end of this post.
This tour is very Bret Michaels. The special guests playing all dates will be 80s rockers Night Ranger and pop/rock act Jefferson Starship. In addition, there will be appearances from Mark McGrath of Sugar Ray and Steve Augeri, perhaps best known for his run as the lead singer of Journey from 1998 through 2006. Add in promised surprise guests each night of the tour – and knowing who is in Michaels’ circle, it could be just about anyone – and you have the recipe for the nightly party atmosphere that Michaels wants to create.
“I created Parti-Gras as a sincere and grateful thank you to the fans, friends, and family who have rocked with me over the years. I promise to deliver positive energy, live, raw, real music, and all the bands will deliver sing-a-long hit after hit songs. Your voice will be hoarse after an epic, big, fun stage show.“Brett Michaels
