The Colorado Buffaloes are the most interesting story in college football. They might even be the most interesting story in all of sports, with Coach Prime’s team having first upset a ranked TCU team and then followed that up with a complete dismantling of old rival Nebraska.
The Buffaloes are attacking the college football season in a way we have never seen before. Sanders purged a team that went 1-11 in 2022, with less than 20 of those players on the 2023 roster. He replaced them with more than 50 transfer players from all over the country, bringing his best players from Jackson State with him, including his son – and starting quarterback Shedeur Sanders.

Shedeur has played magnificently through two games. The Buffs have an outstanding collection of skill position players, and they have athletically outmatched both TCU and Nebraska all over the field. Shedeur is the buzziest of the Heisman hopefuls at this moment, streets ahead of anyone else in the country. If you want to see Colorado play in person – and you should – then it is going to cost you. Their rivalry game against Colorado State this weekend has its cheapest tickets selling on Immortal Seats for over $300. Next up in Boulder is USC ($400) and then Stanford ($500). Tickets to November home against Oregon State and Arizona are more reasonable (currently under $200), but expect those prices to fly up if the Buffaloes keep winning.
