The Buffs looked doomed on Saturday night – or Sunday morning, depending on your time zone – but a Saheduer Sanders-inspired comeback saw them outlast in-state rival Colorado State 43-35 in double overtime. The Rocky Mountain Showdown was always going to be a unique test, as rivalry games always are, and now the Buuffs get to turn their attention to a road trip to Eugene to face Oregon this coming Saturday.

If the Buffs win there, then the next home game will be an insane spectacle. Colorado hosts the USC Trojans on Saturday, September 30, at a sold-out Folson Field in Boulder. USC is the top-ranked team in the PAC-12, and they have the projected No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft – and reigning Heisman Trophy winner – at quarterback in Kaleb Williams.
