We all saw the devastation that wildfires caused on the Hawaiian island of Maui this summer. The Common Kings felt it more than most, with the reggae/reggae rock band from Orange County, CA, having members with roots in Samoa and Hawai’i itself. That is why the band switched their fall tour focus from the original ‘Celebration’ tour to their ‘Road to Maui’ tour instead.
This tour is all about raising money and awareness for the victims of the Hawai’i disaster, with the band hoping to end the tour at an unannounced date with a community event in Maui. Those wanting to support the cause can catch the Common Kings all over America between now and the end of October. Dates to note include Thursday, Septmeber 21, at Fillmore Auditorium in Denver, Tuesday, October 3, at Big Night Live in Boston, and Thursday, October 19, at Jannus Live in St. Petersburg, FL.
