Now and again, you just kind of bump into news that a band/singer/group that was iconic in their day has shows lined up in the coming months. That is exactly the case here, with the news that New Kids on the Block has four shows (as of now) lined up, with a pair in late June and a couple in August. Three of the shows are casino based – the type you would expect a group like NKOTB to play when they are not on a full tour – while the other is a little weird.
After playing two dates at the Yaamava Resort & Casino in Highland, CA, in June and one at Choctaw Casino & Resort in Durant, OK, on August 11, Jordan, Jonathan, Donnie, Joey, and Danny will be playing the next night – August 12 – in Des Moines, IA at the Iowa State Fair. Wild.
The positive thing about the State Fair show is that it is by far the cheapest. Looking at Immortal Seats – the ticketing site with no hidden fees or costs – Grandstand tickets in Des Moines can be sold for as little as $70. This compares to over $300 for the Oklahoma show and a massive $500 for the first of the two shows in California. If you are a NKOTB fan who missed their most recent tour, heading to Iowa seems the best way to get bang for your buck in watching the former pop and magazine idols do their thing.
