Fall Out Boy will be going on tour this summer after they announced a 25-date, stadium-heavy gig list running from June through August. The “So Much For (Tour) Dust” trek kicks off with a date at the legendary Wrigley Field – home of the Chicago Cubs – on June 21. Other stops include the Dos Equis Pavillion in Dallas, another iconic baseball venue in Boston’s Fenway Park, and two dates at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles. The final announced date is at Freedom Mortgage Pavilion in Camden, New Jersey, on August 6.

This tour will be in support of Fall Out Boy’s seventh studio album. So Much (for) Stardust is set to be released in late March, and it will be the band’s first album in five years. 2018’s Mania was well received, and fans will be interested to note that singles so far from the new album – “Heartbreak Feels So Good” and “Love From The Other Side” tap much more into Fall Out Boy’s rocker beginnings as opposed to the electronic sound that was so prevalent in Mania.
It will also be interesting to see how much founding guitarist Joe Trohman plays on this tour. Less than a day after the announcement of the new album back in January, Trohman announced he was taking a break for mental health reasons. Obviously, we hope the legendary guitarist gets the help he needs and can hit the road with Fall Out Boy this summer.
If Trohman does make it back, he will be joining the likes of Bring Me the Horizon, Alkaline Trio, and New Found Glory at dates on the tour. They are just three of the bands that Fall Out Boy is touring with, all of them either peers of the group or inspired by their music. Check out Fall Out Boy at a venue near you this summer!
