You know a program is hot when even the tickets for their non-conference games that will likely be won by 50+ points are selling above face value. Such is life for the Georgia Bulldogs, the two-time defending National Champions who were busy putting a 65-7 beatdown on hopelessly outmatched TCU in the last game of the 2022 college football season.
Immortal Seats shows that tickets for their opener against FCS opponents UT Martin are selling for over $100 for the cheap seats in the upper bowl at Sanford Stadium. Only two of their conference matchups currently have seats available for less than $200, the game on 11/4 against the Missouri Tigers and the 11/11 home finale versus Ole Miss. Success does indeed come with a cost in the world of college football.

Interestingly, the Bulldogs were not picked to win the SEC in each of their last two seasons, both of which ended as National Champions. This is the first year the SEC media has picked them to win the conference under Kirby Smart’s leadership at SEC media days and the first time for the school in general since 2004. The ‘Dogs tied with Alabama with 16 players named to the All-SEC preseason squads, though they actually beat Nick Saban’s bunch with 11 of those 16 named to the All-SEC First-Team. The amount of talent that is churning through Athens is staggering, and it would be no shock if Georgia won the whole thing again this fall to go back-to-back-to-back as champions.
