The 2022 season was one that fans of the Indianapolis Colts would prefer to forget. Head coach Frank Reich was fired with the team sitting at 3-5-1, with former offensive lineman Jeff Saturday pulled out of the broadcast booth to replace him. Saturday had no coaching experience above the high school level, which quickly showed. After winning his first game, Saturday and the Colts lost seven on the bounce to end the season, including a game against the Minnesota Vikings, where they fell 39-36 after leading 33-0 at halftime. If nothing else, the 2022 Colts will be known as the team that blew the biggest lead in the history of the NFL.
The Colts start their home slate in 2023 with a game against AFC South rivals in the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, September 10. Tickets are cheap through Immortal Seats, with seats at Lucas Oil Stadium available for less than $70. Tickets are cheap all season in Idny, with even the visiting Pittsburgh Steelers – a team that traditionally is a premium opponent – selling for less than $100 at the time of writing.

What does Quarterback Anthony Richardson do in Year 1?
The Colts took Anthony Richardson out of Florida with the No. 4 overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft. Richardson was the most polarizing quarterback in this class, a player some teams may have taken at No. 1 overall while others didn’t think was worthy of a Top 20 slot.
His potential is obvious, but Richardson is both young and raw, not close to being a complete player at this point. Some thought the Colts might ‘redshirt’ Richardson, but the potential appears to have been too much to keep benched, and now the team can develop an offensive game plan that works best with their dual-threat quarterback. If the 6-foot-4, 244-pounder can learn to use his cannon of an arm and home-run running ability effectively, then the Colts will surely be better this fall.
