Is Lionel Messi Going To Miss The US Open Cup Final, And How Much Are Tickets?

The Lionel Messi experiment has gone about as well as Inter Miami could possibly have hoped. The team has been night and day different since Messi arrived in South Beach, and The Herons are looking for a chance of a trophy with them hosting the Houston Dynamo in the U.S. Open Cup on Wednesday, September 27.

We at Immortal Seats have tickets to the final, with Reserved and Corner seating at the 21,000-seater DRV PNK Stadium on offer for just $250. Field tickets – the place where you may get to mingle with Messi’s celebrity buddies – are on offer for around $2,500, so there are tickets for all budgets depending on how all-out you want to go.

The big question is whether Messi will be playing at all in this one. The Argentine star was substituted late in the first half of Inter Miami’s touring 4-0 win over Toronto FC on Wednesday, just one week before the final. The initial report is that Messi is suffering from muscle fatigue, a situation that is not ideal as he only just returned from two weeks out through injury. Messi was certainly busy in July, and it looks like the stretch that he undertook after joining Inter Miami has taken its toll.

Both Messi and Jordi Alba are currently listed as day-to-day, but I would expect both to be playing in what is Inter Miami’s biggest game to date in their short history.
