The bands continue on the West Coast, with shows in venues like The Podium in Spokane, WA, The Masonic in San Francisco, CA., and Petco Parkin San Diego, CA. Jimmy Eat Worlds’ last studio album was 2019s Surviving while Manchester Orchestra has been more prolific recently, with The Vally of Vision being released this year as both a concept album and virtual reality film. Best known for “The Middle.” a song that was impossible to get away from and that peaked at No. 5 in the mainstream US charts in 2002, Jimmy Eat World was a mainstay on the US Alt charts for much of the first decade of the 2000s.
Manchester Orchestra has never had a song blow up like “The Middle,” but songs “The Gold” and “Bed Head” were both popular on the US Alt charts in the late 2010s. This will be a fun show for those who like their Indy Rock to feel independent.
