Former Judas Priest guitarist K.K. Downing may have left the iconic English metal band in 2011 due to a breakdown in working relationships (always a rock and roll reason), but the love of playing didn’t end there. After eight years away from the live music scene, he picked up his guitar and – eventually – formed a new band named KK’s Priest.
That band released its first album – Sermons of the Sinner – in 2021, followed by 2023’s The Sinner Risdes Again. Expect big cuts from both albums as KK’s Priest tours the US and hits a bunch of metal-heavy venues this March.

The tour begins on Thursday, March 7, at the Culture Room in Fort Lauderdale, FL. Venues like Rams Head Live in Baltimore, MD (March 12) and The King of Clubs in Columbus, OH (March 16) just sound like venues where only a metal band would be welcome. Stops later in the month include the Agora Theatre in Cleveland (March 20) and Starland Ballroom in Sayreville, NJ, (March 22), before the tour ends with a show at Keswick Theatre in Glenside, PA, on Sunday, March 24.
