Minnesota United began MLS play in 2017, and if you haven’t caught a game yet at Allianz Field then it is way past time to do so. Immortal Seats is your go-to for cheap Minnesota United tickets, and the team has plenty of interesting games left on their home schedule this season to watch.

The Western Conference-leading Seattle Sounders visit Minnesota on Sunday, August 27, while the expectation-smashing expansion side St. Louis City SC make the trip north on Saturday, September 23. If you can’t wait that long – and we understand that – then matches on Saturday, May 27, against Real Salt Lake, and Saturday, June 3, against Toronto FC will get you your soccer fix within the month.

Here is the biggest question for Minnesota United based on their start to the 2023 season.

Will fixture congestion in May be an issue long term?

Minnesota United is cruising along. They sit eighth in the Western Conference on 12 points after ten games, having won three, drawn three, and lost four in MLS play. This puts them in a good position for a playoff push as we move into the second half of the season, but there are some worries about fixture congestion this month.

United could play eight times in May, a big number of games for a club with so much of the season left to go. This isn’t a franchise blessed with a particularly deep squad, but rotating players in and out of the lineup is going to be key in an attempt to keep the stars healthy. Efforts like Tuesday night’s US Open Cup game against Philadelphia Union going all the way through 120 minutes and into penalties won’t help the cause, so it will be interesting to see how the Loons perform over the rest of the month.
