Minnesota Vikings Tickets & Burning Question

The 2022 Minnesota Vikings stormed to the NFC North division title with a 13-4 record. They finished four wins ahead of the second-placed Detroit Lions, claiming the third seed in the NFC Playoffs before bowing out disappointingly with a 31-24 home loss at the hands of the New York Giants in the Wild Card Round.

The Vikings begin their 2023 campaign at home, taking on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday, Septmber 10. The cheapest tickets to that contest can be snapped up for around $100 through Immortal Seats. The hottest ticket at US Bank Stadium this season is on Sunday, October 8, where Patrick Mahomes and the defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs travel to face the Vikings. Tickets for that game are selling for over $300. The Vikings also have back-to-back-to-back divisional games to close out their home slate, with the December 31 game against the Green Bay Packers being the most expensive of those tickets.

Was 2022 a fluke?

The 2023 Vikings have more to prove than most teams with 13 wins the prior season. This is because 11 of their 13 wins came by just one score, while three of their four defeats were blowouts (including a 40-3 defeat by the Cowboys in Week 11). The Minnesota defense was seen as the problem, with the Vikings putting up an impressive record while being 31st in the league with over 6,600 total yards allowed. They even posted a negative point differential for the season despite pilling up so many wins.

The loss in their first playoff game didn’t help, and they will need to show that 2022 was no fluke without the services of long-time running back Dalvin Cook and wide receiver Adam Thielen who were both released this offseason. One aspect working for the Vikings is that the NFC North appears to be in a down year, though the way that the Detroit Lions finished the 2022 season means that the Minnesota team will have to step it up to retain their crown this fall.
