It was popping off on Saturday, July 29, at the Crowne Plaza Providence-Warwick in Rhode Island as fans from five states – and even those from another country – got to meet and greet with WWE/F, WCW, ECW, and more stars at New England Fan Fest 8 presented by Immortal Seats.
Those fans got to meet and greet the headline attraction as Glen Jacobs, Mayor of Knox County, TB, and FKA Kane, slipped on the mask for photo ops and to sign autographs for legions of his fans. Jacobs was not the only big name in attendance, with fans meeting the likes of Candace Michelle, Lisa Marie Varon FKA Victoria, Lina Fanene FKA Nia Jax, and SmackDown’s No. 1 announcer Sho Funaki. There was even an appearance for signings and photos by Japanese legend Ultimo Dragon, showing the pull of the convention and its ability to bring in wrestling stars from all over the world.
New England Fan Fest 8 was well received by the fans in attendance and the performers working the event. The location, the setup, and the feel of the con were universally praised. That vibe is what fans should expect at the inaugural Immortal Seats Sports & Entertainment Convention to be held at the Tampa Convention Center in Tampa, FL, on Saturday, November 9, 2024.
