NFL games around Christmas typically have some of the cheapest tickets all year. Several factors are in play, causing that drop. People are traveling for the season, fans have other things to spend their money on at this time of year, and many teams are eliminated from the playoffs and just bad to watch.
The Dolphins look like a legitimate Super Bowl threat in the AFC, while the visiting Dallas Cowboys are right in the thick of things in the NFC. Add in that Dallas fans always travel well – and there are huge pockets of Cowboys fans already in Florida – and you get a recipe that means the cheapest seats we have to watch the Dolphins host the Cowboys at Hard Rock Stadium come in at over $350 per ticket.
These two come into this matchup from very different results in Week 14. While the Dolphins were waxing the New York Jets 30-0 – while sitting their best player in Tyreek Hill – the Cowboys looked awful in a disappointing 31-10 defeat against the Bills in Buffalo. The knock on this Dallas team is that they don’t play well on the road, something they will need to work out how to do, as the defeat against the Bills all but rules them out of any chance at the No. 1 seed in the NFC.
Fans need to get tickets as an early Christmas gift now to see if the Cowboys – 3-4 on the road with wins over miserable teams like the New York Giants and Arizona Cardinals – can finally get a meaningful win on their travels.
