There are some cities this weekend where playoff tickets can be had through Immortal Seats for less than $100 (we are looking at you, Kansas City). That is far from the case in Detroit.
It has been a minute since the Detroit Lions hosted a playoff game, and the ticket prices reflect that. The cheapest seats at Immortal Seats are in the Upper Bowl and sell for just under $600 per ticket. Getting into the Lower Bowl will cost north of $700, while premium seating like Club Level Access is over $1,300. That is what a combination of a playoff drought and a warm, indoor stadium – while other teams battle in an Arctic Blast – will do for ticket prices.

It would be a shame if the Rams ruin the first Lions’ home playoff game in three decades. This is especially true as the Rams’ starting quarterback is long-time Lions’ starter Matt Stafford. Stafford finally gets to play a playoff game in the Motor City, something he didn’t do in over a decade as the Lions QB No. 1. The storyline is set. It is a dangerous matchup for the Lions as the Rams are riding a four-game win streak, the second longest current streak in the league behind the Baltimore Ravens (five).
This will be the first playoff matchup in NFL history, with both quarterbacks facing their former team. Jared Goff has the arm to move a potent Lions offense, but their pass defense – the sixth worst in the league – is a big worry here. The Lions are the only team in the NFL never to have won a Wild Card round game. Can they break that streak in 2024?
