Very few teams ended the 2022 season as strongly as the Jacksonville Jaguars. Led by the arm of Trevor Lawrence, the Jags entered their Week 11 bye with a 3-7 record and seemingly destined for another nothing season. That is when Jacksonville Jesus came alive. Lawrence and the Jags stormed down the stretch, winning six of their last seven games to finish with a 9-8 record. That record saw them win the AFC South, and they then went on to beat the Los Angeles Chargers in the Wild Card Round (in astonishing comeback fashion) before falling to the eventual Super Bowl Champion Kansas City Chiefs in the Divisional Round.
The Jaguars’ opening home game of 2023 is against Patrick Mahones and the Chiefs on Sunday, September 17. Tickets are around $150 for the cheapest seats, with Immortal Seats for this one, a sign of the good feeling around the Jags and the drawing power of the Chiefs. There are cheaper options, with later games against the Indianapolis Colts and Tennessee Titans selling for less than $50 a ticket.

Does Trevor Lawrence make another jump in Year 3?
Year 3 is typically the year players break out. Lawrence is ahead of schedule, somehow shrugging off the disaster that was his first season under Urban Meyer and thriving under the leadership of Doug Pederson in Year 2. Lawrence had over 4,000 yards, 25 touchdowns, and just eight interceptions last season. If he can improve those numbers at all, then Jacksonville will be in a very strong position in an open looking AFC South this fall.
