If you have never been to a Real Salt Lake match at America First Field then there is no time like the present to get out there and support the Claret and Cobalt. Over a dozen home fixtures are left in the season, and the team is still in both the Leagues Cup and has made it to the Round of 16 in the U.S. Open Cup competition.
Games to target include late-season battles with rivals Colorado Rapids on Saturday, September 2, and Sporting Kansas City on Saturday, October 7. Those looking for a game sooner should consider the Saturday, June 10 clash with New York City FC as a great option.
Here is the biggest question for Real Salt Lake 2023 based on their start to the 2023 season.

Will the defensive improvement hold?
Real Salt Lake sits eleventh in the Western Conference. While that sounds rough in a 14-team league, it is worth noting that the team s just four points behind fifth-place FC Dallas and that they have a game in hand on some of the teams above them in the table.
The problem to begin the season was the RSL was just giving up too many goals. They lost 4-0 in back-to-back games against St. Louis City SC and Columbus Crew, games where they were played off the park. Improvement has come. Before their 4-3 win over the Portland Timbers in U.S. Open Cup play – where there was a decent amount of squad rotation – they had recorded back-to-back shutouts. If they can keep that defensive improvement going, then this will be a squad to watch the rest of the way.
