Tampa Bay Buccaneers Tickets & Burning Question

The 2022 Tampa Bay Buccaneers were a team defined by Tom Brady. The greatest NFLer ever announced his retirement early in the 2022 offseason, then changed his mind and returned for one final run at another Super Bowl title. Brady and the Bucs completed their first goal as they won the NFC South, though their 8-9 record in winning the worst division in the league made them ripe for a playoff upset. That upset duly occurred in the Wild Card Round, with the Dallas Cowboys crushing the Bucs in what would be Brady’s last game before he retired for good almost a year after his initial retirement announcement.

The Bucs’ first game in the post-Brady era is on the road, while their first home game sees them face the Chicago Bears on Sunday, September 17. The Bears are always a well-supported team, so the cheapest tickets sitting at around $180 with Immortal Seats is not a surprise. Tickets to see the Bucs against the NFC favorite Philadelphia Eagles in late September are over $300 for the cheapest with Immortal Seats, while the other end of the scale is set when the Carolina Panthers visit Ray Jay on December 3. There are dozens of tickets for that one available for under $40 at the time of writing.

Are the Bucs the worst team in football?

No Tom Brady. No Leonard Fournette. Four new starts (by position) on the offensive line. A wantaway defensive playmaker in linebacker Devin White. It is easy to see why many outside the organization think that the Bucs will be the worst team in the entire NFL in 2023. Much will sit on the shoulders of new quarterback Baker Mayfield., assuming he beats Kyle Trask for the job. If he plays well in a new, modern offensive scheme under first-year offensive coordinator Dave Canales, the Bucs will go better than expected. They are helped by being in the worst division in the league, but if it all falls apart – and there are a few routes how it could – then this team will be in the hunt for Caleb Williams (USC) in the 2024 NFL Draft.
