All eyes in the fighting world will be on the Miami-Dade Arena in Miami, Florida, this weekend as UFC 287 takes place on Saturday, April 8.
The card’s main event is at middleweight, where champion Alex Pereira defends the strap against Israel Adesnya. This is a rematch of their fight back at UFC 281, where Pereira beat Adesnaya to claim middleweight gold. While it is their second bout in UFC, Pereira will be looking to beat this opponent for the fourth time in their fighting careers across promotions.

This should be a good card and one worth getting tickets for based on the strength of the main event alone. Pereira is the classic fighter with heavy hands, s guy who can knock you out in an instant if you let down your guard. That style meshes well with Adesanya, a guy who loves to float around the cage picking his spots to do damage in a multitude of ways. It is worth noting that until the fifth-round knockout last November, Adesanya was up on all the judges’ scorecards, but that one lapse in concentration cost him his streak of 23 career middleweight fights without defeat.
